What to expect

Nutritional advice will be tailored to your child’s individual circumstances and goals will be set in discussion with you. There will be the opportunity to discuss any concerns and questions you may have.

If you have not been referred by your GP or consultant, Joan may need to contact them prior to or after the consultation but this will be with your consent.

Joan will aim to provide all the advice you need in one appointment, however, depending on your child’s symptoms or medical condition, a review appointment may be recommended to help monitor progress and address any issues that have arisen following the implementation of dietetic advice.

All appointments are confidential, and medical information is stored under Data Protection Regulations.

Here are links to some useful companies that will provide allergy testing and medical assessment - often a pre-cursor to advice from a dietitian.
